65(This is a most unusual poem as it deals with a third person in a loving relationship where two people already exist. Intended as a romantic poem, and in some ways an Invitation of sorts, it asks and invites such questions as - how can such a thing be possible, and how to express it? By stripping away the bull and simplifying it all, and in poetry of course.)

If you told me that you loved me, do you think that she would cry?
Do you think as Lovers - we can’t look us in the eye?
Do you want my Lips to be a-kissing of you now?
Do you quake and wonder on the why and on the how?
She said she is Okay with You, and She’s Okay with Me,
She treats and she respects You as though you are Family,
She loves and she adores You, and just the same as I
Since loving you is easy, and you’re easy on the eye.

Your face is of an Angel, your eyes are of a Gold,
They glimmer, dance and glisten with a Story still untold,
Awash with expectation, and full of Honesty,
We Love and I Adore you, as if we were meant to be -.
With Love and being Open, and with Tons of Hugs to spare
We want you not as third, but as an Equal, cos we care.
We open up our house to You, we open up our Bed,
So climb on in, and Feel at home, and rest you “curly” head.
The cuppa is a-brewing, and the food packed on the shelves -
The Cook she’s in her apron, look – she’s wearing nothin’ else,
She teases with her Cheeky laugh, and winks and brings the tea,
The TV is a-babbling, though there's other things to see,
But look at me, I see you now - my Sweet and Cupid Friend,
I’m sorry all this crap drove you around the stupid bend.
We Love and Understand Each Other, Happy we will be,
Get used to Us, get used to me, for You and Me make Three.
To my Amazing and Special Friend, who, will remain nameless here. And for whom I have such deep feelings...

Hi Darlene: my poem is no doubt a very unusual poem, and some people will be surprised by it, but yes, it is honest. And yes the happiness thing is important. I also wanted to not be tip-toeing around an obvious issue with someone, so better say it openly and directly. But hopefully not shockingly. You have a wonderful take on what love is, Darlene. Wow, that was such a different take on a Love Poem but it turned out just beautiful. I have read some great Poetry on here from AIDY, JJ and RandyBehaviour but for me this is the best piece of poetry I have read on here. So sincere, so putting the reader in the room watching it unfold.

Hi Nikki, checking mail and hubs, and saw your comment. Yes, I am busy with a job change (working in a newspaper now) and back with poetry again. Hehe. Glad you waited for me. : ) Yes, this is me and my usual thing I do, maybe too honest...it's hard to know where the line can be...sometimes I won't know till I write it and stuff happens...so sometimes I have to write it to know I am alive and breathe, and the other person does the same...
Yes it is love. Love is amazing. It is very real to me. The music of a human soul makes me cry, it can be so beautiful.

Hi Cheri, thank you for this. The book thing only just came to me in the last week. I am watching Cassy putting her final touches to her book, and I am longing to see it in print. But I am now wanting to get a nice sized collection of my poetry and publish it the same way she is. She will be using Facebook to promote and market her book (She just published a hub on how to do this, I haven't a clue as I don't have facebook) but she is a genius and I trust her instincts.
My poetry can sometimes feel almost too real or too honest maybe, but I wrote this as I felt it was me being honest about things. And I am sure people can read what is behind it. (Just not who...Heh.) Yes, it feels weird and wonderful and strange too, Cheri. Oh, my book will take a while as I don't have enough poetry yet to make a book. But Blaise25 has already done this and published romantic poetry. She and Cassy are my inspiration, and so are you, and Nikki too. Take care, Cheri. :)
