Naked and born - poem by Astra Nomik
70(Naked and Born is a romantic poem, and based on a relationship with someone romantically involved in my life. It is part of a series of love poems I am publishing on Hub Pages.)
Naked and Born
I lie like a statue, I’m waiting and still –
You lay down beside me, you’re looking at me.
Your hands as they hold me – then moving at will,
As we lay here together – in the shade of the trees,
Fingers caress me, along thighs and arms –
The length of my body – its valleys and highs -
Then your tongue slips inside me – raising alarms.
Naked and born – is how I feel now –
Just out of a womb, in the wide open warm
Of the Heat of Your Love – of a Sun that is bright –
In the glad of your smile – in the small fish pond,
Where the water it tingles – and bubbles up nice –
As the ambient yellow electric of life –
It burns me all over and cooks through my soul.
I cry at your touch – as you send me away –
To Nirvana – that place – beyond all emotion –
My senses are thrilled – my nakedness found –
Your lips pressed to mine – I am swimming your ocean –
I bathe in your warmth, as your tendrils around me –
Enslave me in rapture, in love and adornment.
We lie for an eon, now sighing quite softly –
Our bodies are wet from our efforts and glee –
My mind it is frozen and numbed by your yearning –
As legs wrap around me – and squat easily –
We rock here together – and heave and we sigh –
And we nestle and nuzzle – in the shade of a Tree.
Your love is a slipknot – wishbone kiss
Your feeling, your daring – your consummate love –
I climb in and pray for an imminent wish.
A sunbeam to kiss me – so sweet from above.
And bosom to bosom, we lie in a daze,
Like starfish – we sink – but we float - we just float.
So how we did come through the eye of this needle?
Our souls they are knitted so tightly and strong –
Your love is beyond me – surrounds me – enslaves me –
I quiver and shake – yet I know it’s not wrong –
That we both now are lovers – and women are we –
As the day slips to night – and the night is so long.

Hi blaise: omg, you speechless? No, you could never be speechless. Your hubs are too good. Ha. Well I'm glad you didn't think it was naughty. Heh. Even Cassy says I am getting awfully brave with my poetry these days.
This is actually two different poems that I surgically put together. One is about Cassy, since you ask; the other is about someone else from another time and space, and they both had a lot in common so I re-wrote the whole lot into one poem here. There's a bit more story to it than that. (That's why the email...) I got bogged down and delayed by it and finding the pictures I wanted. (Cassy helped with the Photo-colouring.) Oh dear, made you cry? Oh blaise that is making me feel strange now.
Well, I am truly touched and humbled by these words. I have not put a poem this bold out on a hub before. The fountain of emotions...there is a fountain of emotions that was always there in the poem anyway, and I am very happy you like it, blaise.
Thank you for the lovely comments, this means a lot to me, believe me. It tells me I am going in the right direction, and I appreciate the other hubbers' comments here too. Cassy is resting, nursing some sniffles, as we are heading off on a small mid-week holiday and she is stressed out so I am doing the Nurse thing here. We need a nice holiday together. To be blunt, this in which you have written was very intense and sexually stimulating. Very moving... in all the right places that is he he =-). The photos used were a perfect fit for this hub. I loved it 110% Keep the great hubs coming!

...this is so sublime - I simply adore Kate Bush - and this reminds me of her first album THE KICK INSIDE - one of my favorite albums of all time - and this rates quite seriously as one of my favorite pieces written here at the Hub ......and I am sure you have found the 'elusive' G-spot with this one - after reading this once again I think I need a cognac and a warm bath!!!!!

The passionate thing comes from the heart. If I lose my direction, I always write from the heart, and Cassy is always so close to this part of me. And so are my close friends and people I care about. I think you mean about writing from a personal and sort of level that I have...I don't know what I call it, just love poems mostly. Yes, follow your heart. The longer you agonise over the words (if its poetry) the more likely you may change or revise it, so just go for broke and get it all down on the page. Otherwise the words will never forgive you. LOL.

Hi Doug, yup, it teems with emotion in my case. Part of this was written right after the um...moment, and it's a bit like buying your fish at the market, getting it as fresh as possible. LOL. Ok, that is too weird, but that is what I do. I know there's more to it than that. We all put our own personality into what we say and what we mean, and some of the "why" surfaces. With me, everyone knows the "why". Poetry helps to break down some of the barriers. If you read the "encounters" hubs by Cheeky Girl, all will become crystal clear.

You read all the "Encounters" hubs she wrote? Well, then you know how we met, and you know most things. Cassy's "Megumi" hubs are also similar to the Encounters hubs, but way funnier, and true as well. Compared to me, she really did a lot, even at age 16. Hehehe.

There is a sense of first love in here, and of many things like wonderment at the feeling(s) of being loved. It can feel quite overwhelming. I think we bare our souls in a lot of poetry we write, its a byproduct of the trade. But, we can also mask ourselves by only showing parts of us. Keep some for yourself ;)

Romance and love are my total favourite subjects, and I read a lot and I find myself constantly inspired by people around me. Hi Audra, and thank you for the comments. I wrote this a while ago and people do comment on the sensual side of it. It just is what it is. And yes, there is openness. The things that bind us as people are very strong. It's who I am.

Oh my god ...the woman in me is moved..This is beautiful, i love every line of it..my imagination goes beyond. Like its an expression of love between two people.

I intended the last photo to represent the two people that this love poem is about.
